Orange presents the BlackBerry Bold 9700

Today Orange Armenia and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) introduce the BlackBerry® solution in Armenia.

From now on customers can find in Orange shops the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone, but other BlackBerry models will also be in sale soon. Due to the strategic partnership between France Telecom Group and RIM, Orange offers a very competitive price for BlackBerry Bold 9700 in Armenia: 230,000AMD.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 can be bought in 17 Orange shops, together with any of Every Month tariff plans which include from 1000 to 1500 free on-net minutes monthly or with Orange Business. The service can be activated for BlackBerry handsets bought at Orange as well as for any other BlackBerry model purchased elsewhere.

Orange proposes to its customers to combine BlackBerry® services with bundles of internet traffic to be used on the largest 3G+ network of Armenia. The monthly fee for the service starts at 7500 AMD, and for a monthly fee of 8000 AMD and more, the customers will get included internet bundles from 50 to 500 MB, which can be used to surf the internet not only through blackberry.net APN, but through any other APN as well. After consumption of the internet bundle, the usage of internet will be charged according to customer’s tariff plan.

The BlackBerry Internet Service operates on the basis of Push technology, and e-mail messages are automatically sent to the phone’s mailbox.

With BlackBerry Internet from Orange up to 10 e-mail accounts can be managed directly from BlackBerry mobile phone, which is in effect an enlargement of the user’s mailbox. BlackBerry Internet service allows as well to use instant messaging software (Windows Live Messenger; ICQ; Google Talk), that can be downloaded on http://mobile.blackberry.com, directly from the BlackBerry phone.
