Today Orange announced new good surprises for its loyal customers. Those Dolphin, Butterfly or Panther subscribers who ended their 12 or 24 months commitment will receive 10% of their monthly fee in the form of loyalty Orange Merci points which they can use to exchange with minutes, SMS and megabytes bundles. The first set of points will be allocated at the beginning of November and then – every following month. Customers do not need to do anything in order to get Orange “thank you” points, but only to continue using the Orange services.
Starting from October 1st all existing and new subscribers of Orange Dolphin, Butterfly and Panther monthly subscriptions will have a nice surprise from their operator. For the same monthly fee, Orange will now offer unlimited on-net calls, increased volume of off-net minutes, SMSs and MBs, as well as the possibility of making free international calls. Customers of Dolphin, Panther and Butterfly will continue to have the possibility to get a new handset at a discounted price. Using GPRS will as well become easier, as the customers will be able to access the internet from their phone at only 20 AMD/MB rate, instead of the former 35 AMD/MB, after having consumed their monthly package of megabytes.
Orange launched a new prepaid internet tariff plan for those who need internet from time to time and do not need it permanently. “Internet Café” offer, the internet per minute offer of Orange, will be available to inhabitants of the regions of Armenia, and will allow customers to surf on the internet at 1Mbps speed by paying just 1 AMD/minute rate only for the minutes they used.
Today Orange launched the 3G+ network with a capacity of up to 42Mbps in the city of Ararat. Ararat is the fifth city after Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor and Echmiadzin, where Orange has build up to 42Mbps HSPA network. In other towns and villages of Armenia where over 95% of population resides Orange offers a network with a capacity of up to 21Mbps.

Caucasian Red Deer to Reinhabit Armenia Soon
The World Wide Fund for Nature under the auspices of RA Ministry of Nature Protection and with the support of WWF Germany, Orange Armenia, Transboundary Joint Secretariat (TJS) and Prometey Bank launches a project on reintroducing the Caucasian Red Deer in Armenia with the main goal to set up a breeding group of the species in Dilijan National Park.
On the 4th of September the “Union of Operators Providing Mobile Number Portability Services” announced a tender for the selection of a centralized database set-up and maintenance provider for mobile number portability implementation. The system will allow to implement the mobile number portability in Armenia from January 2014. On that ocassion, today during the interview with the journalists Francis Gelibter, the CEO of Orange Armenia noted:
For the second time Orange Armenia has been recognized as the leading 3G+ mobile internet network in Armenia, according to the study conducted by the independent “P3 Communications” German consulting firm. The study, based on the use of international standards, has evaluated several parameters, such as access to static websites, including the YouTube homepage, video streaming, sending and receiving emails, file upload and download, latency measurement and website access time. All tests were conducted with commercially available USB modems, smartphones and specific software.
Starting September 5 Orange offers to call certain international directions at lower rates. All Orange voice services customers will call to the Ukraine, Italy and all countries of the Northern Europe, such as, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland at 85 AMD/min rate, instead of the former 95 AMD/min.
As it was announced last week, today Orange presented a new offer especially for those customers, who didn’t manage to get one of the pre-announced 5000 Alcatel handsets and a SIM card as a gift in the scope of “One handset for you, another one as a gift” campaign, by joining any of Dolphin, Butterfly or Panther monthly subscriptions.
