Up to 42Mbps H+ network of Orange now available in 315 settlements of Armenia
Today Orange has announced the opening of its high speed H+ network, with download speed of up to 42Mbps, in 310 new settlements in Armenia, thus expanding today the list of communities already benefiting from this network from 5 (Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Echmiadzin and Ararat) to 315.
The results of technical works performed during the year 2013 have enabled Orange to be once again recognized as the quality-leading mobile internet network in Armenia
2013 was a landmark for network improvement in Orange. Following 600 network upgrades performed in 2013, now Orange subscribers can upload and download files faster and more easily, webpage opening speed and online video streaming have as well been increased and stabilized.
Names of subscribers to travel to Paris with Orange already revealed
Today Orange has announced the names of the winners of the “Travel to Paris Together” offer, who activated the 1000th Orange “With Each Other” pack between December 10, 2013 and January 15, 2014.
Orange network once again ensured an excellent quality of connection on the New Year’s night
This year, on the New Year’s night, Orange customers shared their joy and best wishes with their close ones, living in Armenia and abroad, through millions of calls and short messages. On the 31st of December and the 1st of January Orange network served a total of 6,316,179 outgoing and incoming calls. During the same period, Orange customers sent 607,181 short messages.
Yesterday at midnight reception of applications for participation in annual Orange Book Prize 2013 came to its close. Total 327 applications for participation in the contest have been presented, out of which 152 poems, 121 short stories, 27 novels and 27 fairy tales.
Orange Armenia has summarized the results of the technical works performed during the year 2013 aimed at further development of the network capacity and extension of the coverage.
From now on, all customers of Orange Internet Now 6000 and higher tariff plans will be offered, on a permanent basis and during the whole month, free high speed internet every night, from 2am to 8am.
According to an international study conducted by the German audit firm P3 on field in a number of different countries, Orange Armenia’s network has been ranked first among Armenian operators and for the first time, first as well among all Orange European affiliates for providing the best speed of 3G internet on smartphones. The study, based on the use of international standards, has evaluated several parameters, such as access to static websites, including the YouTube homepage, video streaming, sending and receiving emails, file upload and download, latency measurement and website access time.
Today Orange issued the second updated version of “My Orange” mobile application on Play Store. The new version, along with previous features, gives as well the customers the possibility to use a range of additional services, such as activate the “Ring Back Tone”, “Voice mail”, “Hide your number”, “Extra Time” services etc. Now thanks to My Orange mobile application customers can also subscribe to horoscope, weather or exchange rate notification services. After this update, entertainment features of the mobile application become more complete and even more user-friendly.
Starting from today, Orange gives the possibility to Syrian-Armenians living in Armenia to be in touch with their families and friends in Syria at an affordable price, as they can get 15-minutes bundles to call Syria for just 1000 AMD. When acquiring a minutes’ bundle, the average cost per minute will be 30% less.
