The Armenian Eyecare Project (AECP) and Orange Foundation summarize the results of works performed within the scope of “Bringing Sight to Armenian Eyes” project, which aims at providing quality eye care services to the inhabitants of rural areas through a Mobile eye hospital (MEH). Since 2011, thanks to this cooperation over 67,000 people have already benefited from free quality eye care services, out of which 5200 people have undergone free eye surgery in the mobile eye hospital (MEH).

Orange celebrates the 5th anniversary
Already 5 years have passed since the 5th of November 2009, when Orange lunched its services on the Armenian market. Today on the occasion of its 5th Anniversary Orange congratulated and thanked all customers, summarized the results of its performance and introduced a new “common Internet” revolutionary solution.
The new “Ayrum Fruits” cannery has been operating in Ayrum village of Tavush region since the August of 2014. This cannery, equipped by the support of Rhône-Alpes region of France, G2iA NGO, Orange Foundation, Oxfam and CARE organizations, serves as a stable source of income for around 2000 inhabitants of Ayrum and neighbouring communities, who deliver the berries and fruits grown or harvested by them to the cannery. Already 20 people are employed here. Since the launch of this production, 40,000Kg canned fruits and berries have been produced. For upcoming 2 years it’s planned to increase the number of employees to 60 people and the volume of production to 120,000Kg.

The fourth Armenian Open Championship of Computer and Mobile Games came to its end on the 26th of October. The winner of this year in the “Best Game” nomination category is Henrik Hakobyan, with his game “Choppy Fish”.
