The fourth Armenian Open Championship of Computer and Mobile Games came to its end on the 26th of October. The winner of this year in the “Best Game” nomination category is Henrik Hakobyan, with his game “Choppy Fish”.
On October 26, from 12:00 to 17:00, Moscow Cinema will host the Public Expo of the games presented at the “Open Game” Championship of Computer and Mobile Games, followed by the awards ceremony. Everyone interested in this domain is invited to visit the Expo to see, test and play the computer and mobile games developed by young Armenians.
Inhabitants of Karahunj village of the Syunik region can now benefit from a new milk collection point created with the joint efforts of the Orange Foundation, Strategic Development Agency NGO and Karahunj municipality. The newly opened milk collection point will serve to the benefit of more than 1000 inhabitants of the community, the majority of which is involved in milk production, enabling families of Karahunj to secure a stable source of income.
Today Orange Foundation has summarized the work completed in the frame of its first “One Village” project, launched in Hartavan in March, 2014. This new initiative of the Orange Foundation complements its numerous projects of renovation of kindergartens, creation of sport complexes and computer rooms in different regions by allocating each year important funds for the development of one village, addressing at the same time different components of the community life. In particular, the “One Village” project addresses the development of sustainable economic activities and jobs, the improvement of infrastructures or of education and healthcare facilities of the selected communities. Orange Foundation has allocated in 2014over 55MAMD for this initiative. The large scope of the work envisaged by the project has been implemented by Shen charitable NGO.
On the occasion of the World Sight Day Orange Foundation and the Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP), have presented the scope of projects implemented in the eye care domain.
On the eve of the World Sight Day a new Resource center, equipped with a brand-new Braille printers is launched in Yerevan, for the benefit of children with visual impairments, thanks to the joint efforts of the Orange Foundation, the French Armenian Development Foundation, and the Fund for Armenian Relief. The resource center is installed in the special school N14, hosting 89 children with different degrees of visual impairment, which is the only school in Armenia where education is organized with Braille writing. The brand-new Braille printers, acquired with the 4.5 MAMD donated by the Orange Foundation, will now enable the children to pursue their education with up to date training and educational materials, previously not accessible due to the lack of necessary equipment and resources.
One of the participants of the “Open Game” Armenian Open Championship of Computer and Mobile Game Developers will receive a special prize from Orange – up to 3 months paid internship opportunity in one of the application development units of the Orange Group in France. Orange Armenia will as well provide airplane tickets.

On the evening of September 30 “Artbridge” bookstore café hosted the presentation of already published books of four literary works recognized as the winners of “Orange Book Prize 2013” book contest. The novel “Dispersion” by Artyom Grigoryan, the story “The Moth Remedy” by Narine Kroyan, selection of poems “The Alphabet in Our Garden” by Gayane Yengoyan and the “I Draw” by Silva Hovhannisyan are now available for the readers.
