Today Orange has launched a new updated version of “My Orange” mobile application, introducing new features for the convenience of application users.
Around 2800 inhabitants of Gegharqunik region have benefitted from Orange Foundation and Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP) joint project, which aimed on conducting free eye screenings for inhabitants of the region and provide medical treatment to socially vulnerable people.
A newly created cannery of Ayrum village of the Tavush region will start its production by the end of August. Rehabilitated cannery, equipped by the efforts of G2iA NGO, with the support of the Orange Foundation and Rhône-Alpes region of France, will help to improve the employment situation and create a stable source of income for families of Ayrum and neighboring villages. Production of over 20000 units is envisaged by the 1st phase of the project to penetrate the local and international market. The project is also realized with the support of Oxfam Foundation.
From now on Chinari village, a community situated on the border with Azerbaijan, will have itsYouth center, equipped with computers and Orange internet connection. The Youth center will become the main informational center of the community providing sessions and master classes in the areas of computer programs, internet technologies, social networks, thus contributing to the improvement of the daily life of the young inhabitants of Chinari.
Orange continues to further improve the quality and affordability of its roaming services. Following its special summer promotion for incoming roaming calls Orange has introduced today a new “Favorite Country” option, which allows customers, roaming in 23 Orange zone countries, to receive a 40% discount for all voice services, valid during one week.
Orange continues surprises for its customers
Orange has introduced a new “Unlimited 3 in 1” option, allowing its prepaid subscribers to simultaneously enjoy unlimited on-net calls, SMS, as well as unlimited mobile data. In order to benefit from the three services customers have a choice to activate “Unlimited 3 in 1” option for 1 day for 150 AMD or 7 days for 700 AMD. The option is reactivated automatically.
On the evening of July 1 took place the solemn opening of 2nd ceremony of “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival. The festival is organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora with the aim to preserve the identity of the Armenian culture, boost the development of the Armenian contemporary art, reveal creative young people living in Armenia and Diaspora, as well as support the development and implementation of their joint projects. Already for the second time Orange is the general sponsor of this festival.
The joint project of the Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP) and Orange Foundation, aiming at provision of free eye screenings and eye care treatment for the socially vulnerable inhabitants, have been finalized in Vayots Dzor region.
June 21 is the World Music Day
Since 1982, every year on June 21 – the day of the summer solstice, amateur and professional musicians come together to celebrate the Fête de la Musique or the World Music Day. For already several years Yerevan has joined 460 cities in the world, which on this day welcome in their streets and parks musicians and bands already loved by the public, as well as those who are still to become famous.
June 20 is the World Refugee day
Since the year 2001 by the decision of the UN General Assembly, in more than 100 countries World Refugee day is celebrated on the 20th of June. UN Refugee Agency uses this day to raise the issues of the refugees, protect their interests and help them to start a new life in a new country.
