“Take a selfie and help a child to fight blindness” online campaign, a new joint initiative of the Orange Foundation and the Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP), has been launched today. The campaign is implemented on the occasion of the World Sight Day (WSD) 2014 and is aimed at treating sight issues of children and preventing blindness through provision of screenings and distribution of eye glasses to those who need one. Starting from September 30, till the 9th of October, every selfie sent to Orange Armenia Facebook page and published there will result into a pair of free eye glasses to one child from the Armavir region. The AECP medical groups will perform the eye screenings followed with the preparation of the eye glasses in the quantity of published selfies.
Today Orange has announced the results of the “One number - one destiny” charity auction, during which the best 11 numbers from the new 041 range were sold. In total 181 bids were made by participants. The 11 numbers were sold during the auction for overall 26’956’717 AMD. As promised Orange has donated the total amount to the “Let’s keep children home” charitable initiative. Orange has as well matched the highest bid of 5’200’000 AMD and donated it on top of the collected amount.
Change in “General Terms and Conditions”
Orange informs that the General Terms and Conditions for Public Mobile Communication Services, which are an integral part of the subscription agreement are going to be amended.
Results of the joint initiative of Orange Foundation and Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP) have been summarized in Syunik region., In the frame of this initiative free eye screenings have been performed for inhabitants of regions, as well as medical treatments and surgeries implemented. Free surgeries are delivered to inhabitants based on social criteria.
