With the support of Orange Foundation on Saturday evening the National Opera House hosted a concert with participation of Armenian and French musicians, dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial. During the concert many famous compositions of French and Armenian composers were performed under the direction of a celebrated Armenian conductor and violinist George Pehlivanian. Moreover, “Ploughland”, composed by Vache Sharafyan specially for the Armenian Genocide Centennial, was performed by the Children’s Choir for the first time.
According to the results of international study, performed by the independent “P3 Communications” German consulting firm, modern H+ network of Orange Armenia maintained its leading position not only on the Armenian telecom market, but as well amongst the European affiliates of the Orange Group. The study, based on the use of international standards, included measurements of parameters, such as speed for file upload/download, opening of YouTube videos, opening of local and international websites etc., of 26 mobile networks in 8 European countries. All tests were conducted with commercially available smartphones and adapted professional software.
Orange presents its new Prepaid service
Today Orange has presented its new prepaid service. From now on all new and existing Orange prepaid customers will be able to benefit from 3 new prepaid bundles. When activating “Orange 500” bundle, customers will receive 500 on-net minutes and 50 MB of high-speed internet. Those who will choose “Orange 1000”, will not only get 1000 on-net minutes and 50 MB of high-speed internet, but as well 10 minutes for international calls to their preferred country. Customers, who will active “Orange 1500”, will comfortably use voice and data services, receiving 1000 on-net minutes and 500MB high-speed internet, after which they will continue using mobile internet unlimitedly with the speed of up to 256Kbps. Moreover, customers will have the chance to call other local networks, including NKR, at a best rate in Armenia of 15 AMD/min.
The winners of ArmNet Awards 2015 are known
The results of the 5th «ArmNet Awards» panarmenian web-contest were announced on April 4, at an official ceremony. ArmNet’s mission is to evaluate the annual progress in the development of the Armenian sector of Internet and mobile application as well as inspire the creation of new Armenian projects «ArmNet 2015» annual series of events are organized by Maeutica branding agency, Orange and the Internet Society of Armenia.
The «Open Game», Armenian Open Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games, organized already for the 5th time by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) and “Orange Armenia” CJSC, has launched today.
In solidarity with all Armenians, as a sign of tribute to the great loss and the struggle of the Armenian people, Orange has initiated and supported a number of initiatives dedicated to the commemoration of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
Today Orange has announced the launch of a special “Paint your dream” initiative. In the frame of this project, German-Armenian artist Misak Ayunts will visit 20 villages of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Shirak, Syunik, Tavush and Vayots Dzor regions, giving drawing lessons to children of 3-10 years old. In each village an exhibition of the best drawings will be organized during the tour, while the very best pictures will be presented on the 1st of June, at an expo in Yerevan.

Today Orange Foundation and the Armenian Eye Care Project (AECP) have announced the launch of 2015 free eye care program, in the framework of which inhabitants of Kotayk, then Lori, Shirak and Aragatsotn regions will benefit from free eye care services. All inhabitants of the mentioned regions will be able to undergo screenings performed by local ophthalmologists, after which if necessary they will be referred to the Mobile Eye Hospital, where in-depth screenings, eye surgeries and laser treatment will be performed free of charge by medical groups of the Armenian Eye Care Project, formed from specialists of Malayan and other leading eye centers.
The 5th ArmNet launched in Yerevan
Today Orange, Maeutica Branding Agency and “Internet Society” NGO have announced the launch of the 5th annual “ArmNet” project. Within the frame of “ArmNet 2015” events the “ArmNet Awards 2015” pan-Armenian contest of websites and mobile applications will take place, designed to evaluate the achievements of the Internet and mobile application sector, as well as the progress of information technologies, particularly, mobile technologies in Armenia. “ArmNet 2015” events will also encompass an Internet and high-tech conference and a series of workshops with the participation of worldwide leading companies of this domain.
