Today the country where the 50,000th international call of the week between July 1st and 7th was registered from as well as the name of the lucky customer who received it was known. The latter is Rima Avetisyan from Yerevan who received a call from her husband, from Russia. Today at Orange premises Rima received a certificate for an airplane ticket to Russia.
The joint program of the Orange Foundation and the Armenian EyeCare Project “Bringing Sight to Armenian Eyes” is underway. After completing their mission in Kotayk and Tavush regions, the medical teams have moved to Lori in July and August to provide free eye screening and treatment to local population. Moreover, socially vulnerable groups will be provided the possibility to undergo free surgery and get free eye glasses. It is planned to examine over 4,000 people, hold around 300 surgeries and provide 1,700 eye glasses in Lori.

The latter is Harutyun Harutyunyan from Gumri who received a call from his friend, from Spain. As during these days Harutyun is accompanying the football team “Shirak” and currently is not in Armenia, it’s one of his friends who received today a certificate for an air ticket to Spain to be used during the upcoming summer period.
In its strategy of development of the high speed mobile internet, starting today, Orange will be offering its Internet Now 4 modem with a capacity of up to 42.2Mbps at decreased prices. Internet Now 4 modem can be acquired at only 1 AMD if subscribing to Internet Now 11000 AMD tariff plan for 12 months, instead of previous 9000 AMD.
By the joint efforts of the Orange Foundation and “Shen” charitable organization, from now on a new agricultural project has begun in Berdavan village of Tavush region. The project uses the consumer cooperative model and will allow to more than 40 families living in the village to get better results joining their efforts and reward all participants proportionally to their personal investment.
The Orange Foundation and Shen NGO continue implementing the projects aimed at developing the vulnerable rural communities of Armenia, and, in particular, targeting children, their education, health, preschool and physical education in remote and border villages.
Towards the summer vacations period, today Orange presented 2 news to GPRS users. First is about Facebook SMS service, thanks to which Orange customers can stay in touch in Facebook via their mobile phone, even if internet is not accessible at a moment, or if they use a basic phone which does not have internet features. Simply by activating the Facebook SMS service, they will receive messages, wall updates, comments, friend requests and many other notifications though an SMS. Customers can also reply, comment or confirm the request by sending an SMS which will appear as a regular reply on customers Facebook profile.
The Orange Foundation, in partnership with the Armenian Eye Care Project, is continuing its 2-year old project to help the inhabitants of the Armenian regions with free eye care services, including eye screenings, operations, laser treatments and prevention.
Today the name of the lucky customer who has received the 50,000th international call of the last week, in the period between June 17 and 23 was known. The lucky customer is Flora Jaghinyan from Koghb village, Tavush region who received a call from her sister living in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Today Flora received a certificate for an air ticket that he can use during the upcoming summer period.
Today Orange announced the launch of its services in Kachachkut village in Lori region, which did not have access to mobile voice and internet services before. Kachachkut which is the home of 200 people, will have access starting from today not only to quality mobile voice services, but also to high-speed mobile internet thanks to Orange.
