Coverage maps are informational and give a still and approximate picture at one period in time. At Orange Armenia, a site coverage is based on calculations following commonly used international standards and the network is continuously developing.

Orange Armenia 3G+ network supports theoretical download speeds up to 7.2Mbps.

When conditions are ideal, speed goes up to 5-6 Mbps but can vary a lot because of high loads in particular zones or time. In most cases, users will experience speeds between 300 Kbps and 1500 Kbps. Usually users won’t feel a significant difference when using their internet connection.

There are two factors that may cause disturbances when you are trying to connect to the network: topography differences in a particular area may limit or obstruct radio frequencies, and generate actual coverage variances from one spot to another, and congestions.

As GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA allow a certain number of simultaneous connections, in peak hours or in highly populated areas, speed of connection can be lower than usual or limited for a while.

With 3G+, Orange is using the most advanced technologies currently available to diminish these occurrences and deliver the best qualitative service anytime and everywhere.

Since handover between 2G and 3G+ is supported both ways, connections are maintained when 3G+ is not available or not supported by a handset, and the switch is unnoticed by users in most cases.

In case of a service interruption, service is generally restored on the same day and for some cases may take up to two days, except for special circumstances or when the reason of the interruption is not under the control of Orange.
