Roaming
3G network in roaming
You may sometimes face difficulties to connect to a 3G network in roaming. This can happen if your handset network mode is set on “3G only” mode and when 3G coverage is lacking or poor where you are. In such cases we recommend you to switch your handset to “Dual mode”. To do so, go to Menu->Settings->Connectivity/Network-> Network mode. Choose “Dual Mode” (Your handset can have also a mention of one of these names: “Automatic”, “2G/3G”, “GSM/WCDMA auto”).
Data roaming
We wish to draw the attention of Smartphone users on unforeseen charges they may face when using data services in roaming. If you have activated roaming and your Smartphone “Data roaming” is active, while in roaming some of your handset applications (like weather, time, news, maps, tweeter, facebook, email, location etc.) can be automatically updated and you will be charged accordingly. To avoid such unforeseen charges we recommend you to activate “Data roaming” on your Smartphone, only when you wish to use data services in roaming.
Data roaming charges
Data roaming is charged as per roaming zone tariffs and per 10 KB. Find roaming zones on.
The charges for GRPS service you can see in your bill itemization, where the charge unit is “unit”. Even if in a field of unit it is mentioned 1 that means, that it was charged for 10 Kb.
calls to Customer Care in roaming
Please note that while you are in roaming, calls you make to Customer Care Service (055000555) and self-care number (055000111) will be charged at the same rate as calls made to Armenia according to your tariff plan.
